Toronto CREW Annual Gold Tournament Collects $85,000 for the Toronto CREW Foundation and the Canadian Women's Foundation

September 18, 2007 saw almost 200 golfers enjoyed a fabulous day of golf, sunshine and networking at Toronto CREW's 11th Annual Golf Tournament at Emerald Hills Golf Course.

Although the final figures have not been confirmed, the Tournament raised some $85,000 for the Toronto CREW Foundation and the Canadian Women's Foundation.

A number of changes to the tournament format offered a broader scope of options for different levels of golfers. An 18-hole game was available for true enthusiasts, while less dedicated golfers could opt for a less strenuous nine holes.

The day was marked by exceptional performances and a wide array of prizes.

Nancy Prenovost stunned everyone with her "Hole In One" on the 84 yd. Forest #7 hole, while Deborah Longhurst and Janet Norberto won the prizes for the two "Closest to the Line" holes.

Joanne Young scored the raffle prize of a $500.00 gift certificate to the Stillwater Spa at the Park Hyatt Hotel.

The two low teams were Colleen Baldwin, Deborah Longhurst, Mary McGrath and Janice Bradley on the 18 holes. On the 9-hole course Cinzia Booth, Larissa Dunstall, Heidi Rocheleau and Jennifer Williamson won the day.

The end of the golf game certainly didn't signal the end of the day's festivities however.

Intense and competitive bidding on the Silent Auction took place through the cocktail hour.

 At dinner, guests were given updates on the inspiring initiatives of the Toronto CREW Foundation, as well as scholarship and mentorship programs. Guest speaker Nancy Love spoke about the Toronto Community Foundation and the ways that it is positively impacting our city.
