Toronto CREW announces this year’s crop of real estate scholarship recipients

Toronto Commercial Real Estate Women (Toronto CREW) is committed to connecting young women to a career path in commercial real estate. As part of this commitment, Toronto CREW is pleased to announce that five more scholarships have been awarded to deserving young women pursuing real estate studies for the 2007-08 school year.

Launched in 2006, the Toronto CREW Scholarship Program awards scholarships to female students entering their final year of a degree program specializing in real estate at our partner universities. The scholarships are valued at $3,000 each.

The 2007 Scholarship winners are:

  • Emily Chan from the Real Estate and Housing Program at Guelph University;
  • Vivianti Santosa from the Real Property Development Program at York University’s Schulich School of Business;
  • Amy Cann from the School of Urban and Regional Planning at Queen’s University;
  • Kristen Reid from the School of Urban and Regional Planning at Queen’s University; and
  • Andrea Gummo from the School of Urban and Regional Planning at Queen’s University.

An added benefit of the scholarship program is that recipients are invited to participate in a range of Toronto CREW functions and events, which allows them the opportunity of networking with some of the industry’s top executives across a range of real estate disciplines.

On graduation, scholarship recipients are encouraged to apply for Toronto CREW’s Mentorship Program, to support them as they develop their careers in the real estate industry.

Toronto CREW’s Scholarship Program was co-founded and sponsored by Sun Life Financial Services Canada, Deloitte & Touche LLP, Redcliffe Realty Group, Ivanhoe Cambridge and Arcturus Realty.
